The function of art in understanding the lived world with sensitivity cannot be discussed. Sometimes, art events such as a painting, photograph, or film can convey a difficult subject to the masses. A photo frame can mobilize humanity; It creates sensitivity in societies against wars, hunger and poverty. The bond between the artist and the viewer, the values he adds to the world of extraordinary emotion, are indicators of the ability of art. The works produced aim for success, despite the difficulties in the production process, and bring development and change.
We held the first of our Equinox exhibition on March 21, 2022 and named it "EKINOKS". We were inspired by the natural event that happens twice a year. The equinox is the day when night and day are equal. As a result of the sun's rays coming perpendicular to the equator, the circle of enlightenment passes through the poles and the day and night are equal. In the Northern Hemisphere, March 21 is the Spring Equinox and September 23 is the Autumn Equinox. The Sun illuminates the Northern Hemisphere and Southern Hemisphere equally these days. The circle of illumination is the name given to the line between the region where the Sun illuminates the Earth and the region that is in darkness.

LIMBO solo exhibition hosted by MODLUV

Limbo, a word with three central interpretations the modern, metaphysical and that of the homonymous dance game that are placed around the same core that is structured by the concepts of waiting, swing, oblivion and transition.
The exhibition presents paintings and video art works with bright colors, gesture and movement created in the midst of the socio-political and health situation "Limbo" during the three years of the pandemic, which seems to have only a fictitious end, since a world war has already emerged and new possible pandemics are already parading in the media. The artist with her work seeks to remind that life and its meaning is left to each of us beyond trends and socio-political imperatives. The works try to restore the value and significance of the dream and the swing, the hope, the wish and the prayer, the empty time, the transition, the wavering and the doubt, the redemptive sorrow and the ecstatic joy.

Το Μουσείο της Πόλεως των Αθηνών / Athens City Museum αναδεικνύει τη συμβολή των αφανών ηρωίδων της Επανάστασης, προσεγγίζοντας την παραγνωρισμένη δράση τους, μέσα από οκτώ έργα σύγχρονης τέχνης. Οι καλλιτέχνες εμπνεόμενοι από επιλεγμένες, εμβληματικές γυναικείες μορφές του Αγώνα, όπως αυτή της Μπουμπουλίνας ή της Μαντώ Μαυρογένους, αντιπαραβάλλουν το παρελθόν με το παρόν.
Τα πρωτότυπα έργα της έκθεσης, φέρνουν στο προσκήνιο τις σημαντικές άγνωστες του χθες αλλά και στρέφουν το βλέμμα στο παρόν, επιχειρώντας να αναδείξουν αντίστοιχες εκφράσεις θάρρους και επιμονής στις κοινωνίες των αρχών του 21ου αιώνα.

WOMEN IN THE GREEK REVOLUTION | GREEK WOMEN AND THE REVOLUTION

The 'Athens City Museum" highlights the contribution of all the invisible heroines of the Greek Revolution, approaching their unrecognized action, through eight works of contemporary art. Inspired by selected, emblematic female figures of the revolution, such as that of Bouboulina or Manto Mavrogenous, the artists contrast the past with the present.
The original works of the exhibition, bring light to all those women, those important unknowns of yesterday, but also turn their gaze to the present, trying to highlight expressions of courage and perseverance in the societies of the early 21st century.

Painting on this journey, following the light, may even be a window in another dimension; nevertheless, it wishes to blend harmoniously with the “outside” world and to influence it positively. No matter how illusory it is, it does not seek to swallow the viewer inside, nor to give anything passive and unbiased, but to come to “reality” and with the active and critical eye of the viewer to become one with him and the world.
Η ζωγραφική σ’ αυτό το ταξίδι, ακολουθώντας το φως, μπορεί να είναι ακόμα και ένα παράθυρο σε μια άλλη διάσταση παρ’ όλα αυτά επιθυμεί να συμπορεύεται αρμονικά με τον «έξω» της κόσμο και να τον επηρεάζει θετικά. Όσο και αν είναι ψευδαίσθηση, δεν επιδιώκει να καταπιεί στο εσωτερικό της τον θεατή, αλλά ούτε και να δώσει τίποτα παθητικά και άκριτα δεδομένο, μα να βγει στην «πραγματικότητα» και με την ενεργητική και κριτική ματιά του θεατή να γίνει ένα με αυτόν και τον κόσμο.
